无论你是崇高的天空，还是卑微的海床；无论你我地位有多悬殊，无论你在何方，“我”的爱都将永远追随着你，“我”的爱无处不在。诗歌用天空与平原的对比，表现出恋人之间坚贞的爱，那是距离与地位这些因素都无法阻挡的。这“无所不在”的爱深沉而宽广。

亨利?凡?戴克Henry Van Dyke（1852-1933），1852年出生于美国的宾夕法利亚州，1933年逝世。美国作家、教育家、牧师，作品有《渔夫运气》《蓝色的花朵》等。1913年他被任命为部长，出访荷兰，直到1917年他重新投入到自己的文学事业中为止。
